The solution provided by a consortium participated by Netboss Communications within the AEIs Support Program will modernize and transform agricultural services and operations, providing a 360° vision and management of operations in any farm. On October 24, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism announced the concession of aid corresponding to the second call of the Support Program for Innovative Business Groups (AEIs), which will subsidize a total of 261 projects with 48.4 million euros from the Next Generation Fun
Among these projects is MOSAIC AGRODATA 4.0 as a proposal of a consortium including Netboss Communications, further integrating 2 other companies, Soincon and Siali Technologies, including a startup, a research center, Citican, and the cluster Ontech Innovation Granada. The Cluster onTech Innovation leads the fundraising at national level in this call, and will receive 4,240,744 euros, destined to a total of 12 projects coordinated by the association. Thanks to these initiatives, work will be carried out on research, design and prototyping of technological solutions and platforms that will respond to current needs linked to industrial digitalization processes.
The MOSAIC AGRODATA 4.0 project draws on several technological innovations (IoT sensors, Artificial Intelligence developments, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, and Decision Support Systems or DSS). It provides a 360° view and management of operations on any farming operation, both of the tasks performed by workers and of the data collected by sensors and external systems, facilitating the consolidation of information, traceability, real-time monitoring, prediction and data analysis. This makes it possible to increase efficiency and reduce costs, improving the quality of agricultural production and the competitivenesss of companies.
The project involves a relevant innovation of the value chain in an agri-food environment, focused on the collection and subsequent processing through AI and DSS of information from sensors, IT assets, and other resources (such as operational resources in the field) that will modernize and transform agricultural services and operations. Thus, it moves from an operations management model based on disconnected IT applications to an operations management model based on convergent IT solutions for the entire organization.
Initiative funded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism within the support program for AEIs to contribute to improving the competitiveness of Spanish industry, and with the support of the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
