Moving towards agriculture 4.0: MOSAIC AGRODATA 4.0 Project completes its Second Phase

Today marks the deadline for the second phase of the MOSAIC AGRODATA 4.0 Project within the framework of the call for the support of Innovative Business Clusters, with the aim of improving the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.

We have been accompanied in this adventure by companies with cutting-edge technology as Soincon and Siali, and the cluster onTech Innovation.

The project Mosaic Agrodata 4.0 consists of designing a platform (in prototype version) that manages all the resources and operations involved in the life cycle of an agricultural product, using cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics and Decision Support Systems (DSS).

The initial project has been conceived in three phases. In this second phase we have given continuity to the roadmap established in phase one, incorporating new functionalities to the prototype that will allow us to expand its scope of operation. We will soon round off the project in a third phase in which we will add improvements and some new functionality with the idea of finishing testing the prototype in a simulated environment.

Now begins the phase of documenting all the work done, justifying the developments produced and demonstrating the objectives achieved. We face it with the illusion of having achieved the objectives set a year ago. It has been 11 months of joint work among all the members of the consortium. When we finish the project in a third phase, we can provide the agricultural sector with a considerable advance in the efficient and coordinated management of both human and technological resources (sensors, IoT, etc.) and the operations that are carried out throughout the life cycle of an agri-food product, from before it is even planted until it is made available to the final consumer.

Through the use of image recognition with artificial intelligence we will be able to identify if the work teams performed their tasks with the corresponding PPE; with a robust architecture and cutting-edge AI decision making technologies we will be able to foresee incidents or breakdowns and activate the call-to-action teams, coordinate the harvesting crews at the optimal time; with a powerful workflow designer, planning and delivery to the factory and control the entire transport and warehouse logistics process to avoid bottlenecks and maximize the operational efficiency; through vision systems with AI, evaluate the final quality of the product. And all this in a single integrated platform available to all parties involved and with full configuration power and operational control for the user.

We thank everyone who has collaborated in this phase for their efforts with this picture in which we can appreciate the good working environment and that not everything has been moments of stress but also moments of relaxation and celebration of our achievements.
