How Hispasat Improves Field Operations Efficiency and Control on a Global Scale.
Unified installation and maintenance management across 30+ countries – with operational control, multi-system integration, and offline capability.
The client:
Hispasat is the satellite operator of Redeia and one of the leading forces behind innovation in the Spanish aerospace sector. The company is committed to helping citizens bridge the digital divide and driving the sustainable development of society.
Hispasat acts as a key communications bridge between Europe and the Americas, delivering broadband and connectivity services through its subsidiaries in Spain and Latin America.
The company also leads the distribution of multi-media content in Spanish and Portuguese, including Direct-to-Home (DTH) and High-Definition Television (HDTV) platforms. This positions Hispasat among the world’s leading companies in the satellite communications sector by revenue.

The challenge:
Hispasat needed a Field Service Management solution to manage its B2B and B2C field operations across more than 30 countries.
The combination of diverse regulatory, health, technical, and corporate requirements, together with the complexity of installations in remote environments and the need to reconcile payments across highly heterogeneous service interventions, made a flexible solution essential — one capable of integrating quickly with multiple systems while providing end-to-end operational control.
The solution:
A joint team from Netboss Comunicaciones and Optare Solutions, one of our main partners in the telecom sector, analyzed, designed, and implemented Hispasat’s installation and maintenance (I&M) operational processes with Kairos365FSM. The cloud-based solution, fully integrated with corporate systems, supports multiple business units and installation companies in several languages, with operations spanning more than 30 countries across four continents.
The Kairos365FSM workflow designer provides a flexible tool that facilitates the unification of previously disconnected processes within a platform allowing the user with such possibilities as payment reconciliation, intervention skills management, service testing and work certification.
This has significantly improved operational efficiency, enhanced service levels, and strengthened the end-customer experience.
Kairos365FSM acts as the operational execution layer that enables Hispasat to transform complex processes into coordinated, traceable, and controlled operations on a global scale.
The transformation:
- Standardization and centralized management of complex and heterogeneous installation and maintenance (I&M) processes with granular operational control.
- Offline mode capabilities enabling intervention execution in remote environments without connectivity.
- Operational deployment across four continents and more than 30 countries.
- Consolidation of tools and operational processes into a single solution for installation partners.
- Implementation of a payment reconciliation process with detailed activity tracking for both planned and unplanned interventions, including equipment and materials used.
- Agile integration with multiple corporate systems, including OSS, IAM, warehouse management, messaging, ticketing, and Data Warehouse (DWH) platforms.
